The key was due to the fabric efficiency of the building linked with our air tight building principals which resulted in an Air permeability test performance of 2.5 m³/(h.m²) @ 50 pa. This was combined with the following renewable technologies: 11kw Air Source Heat Pump, 5kw PV & 5kw Log Burner.

How did we achieve a 95% A-Rating on our Energy Performance Certificate? Thanks to our air tight building principals which resulted in an Air permeability test performance of 2.19 m³/(h.m²) @ 50 pa. This was combined with the following renewable technologies: A 5KW Air Source Heat pump, 3.4KW of PV (Photo Voltaic) panels and a 5kW log burner. We received a call from the client who was looking to replace an old single storey beach front property with a new energy efficient double storey property; featuring almost total glass frontage overlooking the sea.
